| 'Denim for Diabetes' Day |
19 August 2011
|
By 2030 it is estimated that 30 billion people will have diabetes. Our school passionately embraced the campaign to improve awareness of diabetes with a ‘Denim for Diabetes’ day at the school recently.
700 girls proudly wore their denims, teamed with their colourful House T-shirts. Each girl contributed a minimum of R5 to the cause.
The Grade 12 girls were given the privilege of wearing their beautiful white matric jacket and many staff members came dressed in denim as well - all to promote awareness of diabetes. |
