Information Technology
The excellent computer facilities at Northlands comprise three specialized rooms, each fully equipped with up to date computers, printers and scanners. These facilities, coupled with the expertise of our highly skilled teaching staff, provide a great opportunity to be well prepared in an ever-advancing world of technology.
Data Projectors are used in classrooms as a further teaching aid. Laptops assist with preparation and presentation of lessons.
Media Centre
Northlands is very proud of its spacious and well-stocked Media Centre.
As reading is so vitally important in today’s world, a love of reading is fostered. New books are regularly purchased, ensuring that girls will always find something they will enjoy reading. We encourage girls to make full use of the Media Centre, to find information needed for school assignments and to extend their knowledge on subjects of personal interest. Sixteen networked computers with Internet access are also available as a further resource.
The Media Centre’s catalogue is fully computerized, enabling fast location and lending of resources. The need for library ID cards has been replaced with biometric fingerprint recognition technology.
The Media Centre is open from 7:30 in the morning till 4:00pm daily, except Fridays when it closes at 2:45pm.
